It is out of this world today on "Stop-Motion Rarities."
1982 marks the 40th anniversary of such films as E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, DARK CRYSTAL, JOHN CARPENTER'S THE THING, THE SECRET OF NIMH, BLADE RUNNER, and CONAN THE BARBARIAN. Well, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Brett Piper's first film, MYSTERIOUS PLANET. Well, they say that your first is not your best, but this movie is Brett Piper's first film and he is not proud of it. One could learn from it and is a must-watch for aspiring filmmakers.
