This is of course my own personal opinion. I could be wrong but I doubt it...
I have to say that if a child comes up to you and gives you a kiss on the lips, and you are ok with that, I don't see a great problem with it, but you also have to consider that adults can pass on germs to the child through a kiss on the lips (so for hygene alone I'm against this). What I am against is parents forcing on this habit onto the child when the child is obviously uncomfortable with it.

I also think I would be very uncomfortable having my S.O. kissing his parents on the lips and then coming over and kissing me! I know this can be a cultural thing but I think that in all cultures it's still inappropriate for the fact that adults can pass on germs to the child.
