Digital clutter may feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be that way! Use the tips and strategies in this video to work smarter, not harder. With the tools in this video, set up a digital decluttering workflow and tackle a variety of specific types of digital clutter that you might be struggling with. Happy decluttering!
Monthly Digital Decluttering Checklist (instead of Reflection Questions)
- Delete unread promotional emails from the last month.
- Delete or file any emails that are still in your regular inbox.
- Double-check that any of your bookmarks or saved articles are still relevant. Delete any that are no longer relevant.
- Move any loose (but still necessary) files into relevant folders or locations.
- Delete any files from your temporary folder.
- Empty out your downloads folder and delete any unneeded files.
- Delete any apps or programs you are no longer using.
- Delete all of the duplicate photos you have taken in the last month, keeping only your favorite photos.
- Delete any songs you do not wish to listen to in the future.
- Delete any podcast files that you already listened to or don’t plan to listen to.
- Turn off any notifications on your device that bother you or are not helpful.
- Unfollow or unsubscribe from accounts on social media that are no longer adding value.
- Empty your trash folder or recently deleted folder to free up more space on your device.
