Across the United States, and now proposed for Crocker Amazon Park in San Francisco, animals are being irreparably harmed as cities thoughtlessly replace natural grass in public parks with artificial turf. Marketed as safe and durable, these plastic surfaces are anything but — posing serious, sometimes fatal, risks to wild animals and animal companions. We can't let this awful plan go through!
