The Athletic Training program in the Stony Brook School of Health Professions is designed to provide quality classroom, laboratory, and online instruction in conjunction with hands-on clinical experiences at NCAA Division I, II and III athletic programs and competitive local high school sports. We’re dedicated to contributing to the body of knowledge in our profession by continuing to encourage various research initiatives. By being embedded within athletics and medicine in our community, we promote building relationships through interaction with physicians and valuable community service involvement.
The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and prepares students to take the Board of Certification (BOC) Exam. Completion of this comprehensive program is sure to prepare students to become competent and confident athletic trainers.
