Robert (Bobby) Gieswein 24, was interviewed the day before the Capitol insurrection. The next day on Jan 6th he was photographed in the U.S. Capitol charging barriers and police. Bobby is a survivalist whose skillset came in handy in the Capitol assault. He had a metal baseball bat and pepper spray manufactured to stop bears at great distances - he used it on the Police protecting the Capitol. He was accused of coordinating with the Proud Boys and Three Percenters with attacking the police, Now he has to survive in jail and through a judicial process. He and his comrades looked to Trump as commander-in-chief and they took the Capitol calling it the People's House - wanting to rescue Trump from impending doom by derailing the electoral process. Now he's hit with the full weight of the Constitution and unequal Justice where Trump gets off, but he does not.
In his legal motion for release, his lawyer asserts that Gieswein was high on cannabis and too-stoned-to-be-responsible for his actions. This interview was submitted as evidence in his defense. "[On January 5, 2021], Mr. Gieswein was at Freedom Plaza in the District with other Trump supporters. He was approached by someone with a video camera, who engaged him in conversation. He had just smoked a significant amount of marijuana, and his intoxication is palpable in his dilated pupils and grin, and in the rambling comments that ensued. Asked why he had come, he said: “to keep President Trump in.”

Robert Dean Carr Gieswein, DOB Dec. 28, 1996, of Woodland Park, was arrested on a warrant for assault on a federal officer, aiding and abetting the destruction of federal property, obstruction of a federal proceeding, violent entry or disorderly conduct, and knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority. This was a no-bond warrant.
The FBI charging affidavit alleged that he assaulted federal officers outside the Capitol with bear spray and a baseball bat; “encouraged other rioters as they broke a window of the Capitol building; entered … charged through the Capitol building.” assaulted federal officers with bear spray and a baseball bat; allegedly helped push a barrier against Capitol police officers and sprayed his chemical irritant at them and encouraged a crowd to break open a window before entering through it himself.
Court papers say that Gieswein is affiliated with an Oath Keepers-related extremist group called the Three Percenters.
Gieswein runs a private paramilitary training group called the Woodland Wild Dogs, and a patch for that group was visible on a tactical vest he wore during the attack on Congress, an FBI affidavit said.
