This is my percussion quintet arrangement of Stone Tower Temple from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Time to finish off spook month with one more ominous cover!

I debated back and forth on what to do for the drum part - a lot. My first thought was to use two toms since there are two high/low sounds (similarly to Deku Palace), but then I listened closer and heard a third sound that was more of a muffle. Next I thought about playing it on djembe, but I thought the muffling sound in the middle of the head might get more of a bass tone... so ultimately I decided on frame drum! I really like how articulate the muffled tone with fingers is compared to the bass tone with thumb. I recorded audio for frame drum and tambourine separately for mixing purposes (so there was no bleeding over from one track in another since they need different EQs), but I suspected I could play them as one part for the video and after trying it out I was correct! Maybe I just wanted an excuse to use a setup that no one expects, but you know what - it worked - so I'm gonna stick to it!
