Dirt is NOT pleasant to sleep on. A primitive dirt floor is NOT nice in a hut. It took long enough but I finally got so bothered with the dirt floor that I went to work to put in a stone and tile floor. It's still totally primitive but it's so much better. I only wish I had done this sooner.
