Checking off a bucket list item with TacAero, learning how to land a Top Cub on a sandbar... in this video I wanted to document the training that went into learning to land on a sandbar in the Texas Hill Country. I have about 150 hours in a Super Cub, most of which are in short field operations but today's airstrip is the shortest I've landed on so far. I learned so much in this process and wanted to document it so that we could all learn from my mistakes. I'm putting together a full debrief of what I learned in this process and will include the link below when it's ready.
