“Heat” was inspired by the album of NxWorries. I wanted a true soul record with deep sub, strong hip-hop drums, and warm soulful percussion. It blends heavy bass, hip-hop kicks, clavinet, choir like samples, real and VST strings, rides, live hats, and funk guitar 90s R&B, soul, and hip-hop in one. It feels like spring and falling in love. The lyric describe giving yourself fully during sex, feeling seen and held, an ode to love from a young & slightly naïve view.
