Theme: A tribute to a Disney Princess.
It feels like weeks since I've uploaded anything...oh yeah...that's because it has been weeks. o_O
Favourite Disney Princess of the Month: Snow White.
This girl gets a hell of a lot of hate. Like, she's probably the most hated Disney Princess. And that's fine, because everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion of Snow White has changed recently. I used to be like a lot of people: I thought she was stupidly naïve, ridiculously optimistic, incredibly dull and overwhelmingly annoying. Not to mention that voice...
But I've taken a bit of a shining to Snow as of late and I've actually really grown to like her. I re-watched the film recently, and I remembered why it's one of my favourite Disney movies. Snow is just a sweet-natured fourteen-year-old girl who has a lot of hopes and dreams. What fourteen-year-old girl HASN'T questioned whether she'll get married, whether romance will enter her life? As for the idea that Snow goes against feminism, I think a lot of people forget that this film was made in 1937, a time when women were expected to stay in the kitchen and cook and clean. During my Sociology college course I read an article from the 1950s telling wives how to treat their husbands. Included in the instructions were to have a meal ready for them when they get home and to listen to how the husbands' day was and not tell them about how your day was, because his day is more important than yours. And this is in the 1950s, not 30s! In my opinion, Snow is actually quite sassy for her time because she totally had the dwarves under her thumb.
Yes, there are times where her sugary sweetness still annoys me, and although many have argued that her voice is "beautiful" I doubt I'll ever like it, but on the whole I really do like Snow White. :)

Hi guys! So, I am absolutely in love with this song. I adore this cover of it, so I decided to open up an MEP with it. ^^
THEME: The main idea here is an attraction between two girls, but one of the girls is more reluctant to acknowledge it than the other, who is quite open about her feelings. Do they begin a relationship? Do they stay friends? Do they fall out? Its up to you!
