I don't just do NES stuff ;) Though I still can't quite handle 4-op FM synthesis, so Genesis/Mega Drive stuff is off the table for now. Anyway this is a slightly improved version of a track on my main channel. There won't be any more old reuploads like this on this channel; all new stuff from here on out. I was just rather proud of this one.

Im fairly certain theres no real way to do this in FamiTracker, any fork (and Furnace doesnt even loop DPCM samples correctly lol) without retriggering the sample over and over (which sounds kinda ugly) or just putting all the pulse widths in one giant sample. And even if you did that, that would heavily limit your PWM speed possibilities, unless you use even more samples.
There very well could be a driver out there that can do this already, but regardless, I wrote my own program to play this sound. It truly doesnt do anything fancy except bump the sample address in one direction or the other after every NMI, and allow me to change the pitch of the sample by pressing UP or DOWN. There arent any non-game-viable tricks going on here, and the total sample usage is still only 408 bytes. :P
Speaking of changing the pitch, you also cant smoothly change the pitch of a sample in FamiTracker without retriggering it, which again sounds kinda ugly if youre doing it quickly (perhaps for the purpose of a wavetable kick). I wrote a different program before this one that I forgot to save to see if it worked at all, and sure enough, that worked too.

Im so out of my head right now you have no idea... AdLibs fun to work with though. Rather simple instruments but they work well here. The harmony instrument in channels 3 and 4 is only 1-operator, fun fact.

Sorry for no APU distortion visualization today; as of now, thats impossible for a track made in Furnace. BUT, no forks of FamiTracker have nonzero loop points for DPCM samples, and making this song in my custom driver would take absolutely forever :P
Friendly reminder that this technique is 100% game viable! No IRQs, no precisely timed code, no nothin! I wouldnt feature it on this channel otherwise :P
