I forgot to mention during the review that Dr. Gero has a nameplate in the hospital! It wasn't enough to just have many plot elements in Steven Universe parallel DBZ, now we get direct references to it!
I really want to like "Nightmare Hospital", but the ending contained actions too unrealistic for any mother of a young child, and the verbal resolution between Connie and Dr. Maheswaran being conducted at such breakneck speed (barely longer than one minute) made it feel even more wacky. This conclusion basically being the reason for this episode’s existence unfortunately spoils the episode as a whole. But, there were still many fun and adorable moments to be had. I just would have preferred for the episode to take a different direction about halfway through.
I sometimes criticize episodes of Steven Universe because I love it, people!
