I love exactly three things in life:
1. Midnights by Taylor Swift (which is INCREDIBLE and anyone who says otherwise is lying to you);
2. Steve Harrington;
3. Making my friend Niamh cry.
I've been wanting to make a Steve video for a while, now, but I couldn't really find a song that felt right for what I wanted. And then Taylor Swift released THIS BANGER and my brain went whrrrrrrrrrrrr and popped this out in, like, three days.
I wanted to try and explore that sense of loneliness behind a lot of Steve's arc, how he's always had the title/the popularity/etc. but never people who actually cared about him until he found Dustin/Robin/the rest of the Party. That feeling of always being alone even in a crowded room. And then he finds his little family and suddenly he's /not/ alone anymore and I just! Ugh! I love Steve Harrington!! Ahhhh!!
