All of a sudden all the sounds just disappeared from my Stern Walking Dead pinball. I did some research and found that one possible culprit is a small surface mount chip on the MPU board that handles the sound processing.
This game, like all S.A.M. systems has an integrated MPU + Sound system, so there isn't a separate sound board to service. It's basically all-in-one, and since the game has mostly surface mount components, it's not something easy to fix, even for people experienced with electronics unless they have the special equipment and skills needed to tackle SMS components.
So in this case, I sent the board out to be repaired. Let's see if it fixes the issue?
