Hard to believe this song was released 20 years ago and was the band's sole #1 single in the UK. No offense to the band but I thought the official video for the single version was too simplistic and didn't really tell a story. Plus, I really prefer the full album version which is almost a full minute longer. The song, to my ears, was a nostalgic journey remembering a long-lost love when it was shiny and new and spontaneous but something happened, and it was gone in the blink of an eye. One party is visibly devastated and one, on the outside, may seem carefree and happy at the onset but is also alone all these years later...take a look at me now...
