The Stephen Harrison Academy is a Social Enterprise aimed at getting various sectors of society (Disadvantaged, Disabled, Not in Work, Young Offenders, etc) into a social environment and then allowing them to learn through Snooker to gain qualifications and increase prospects of gaining employment.
The academy provides grassroots snooker sessions for a wide variety of groups. By using Social Engagement Through Snooker (SETS) and the UK Snooker Awards the academy delivers accredited learning through snooker, providing pathways to further education and full time employment.

City of York Council & Mencap are all geared up to deliver the UK Snooker Awards. "Thank you for providing us with a great day's training, yesterday. The course was great and we are all looking forward to developing inclusive snooker in York."
The Cue Club delivers Social Engagement through Snooker (SETS) and aims to enable disadvantaged groups and individuals to participate in sport and improve their quality of life.
Your break! We provide support for young people with special needs. Our research has shown that this is very successful with 100% of the young people enjoying playing snooker and 87% enjoying being part of the group. The young people questioned want to come more often and their parents identifying that the sessions have improved confidence and social skills. Comments from the research with parents included:
"Thanks very much for letting Alfie come, very well run group, everybody helpful and friendly, make it more frequent, more than happy with the service and people involved, very good, wish we could have more sessions."
"Jack only has snooker and enjoys attending. We would pay for more sessions for Jack. Jack feels really confident when attending this club."
