lil miss beats | Step Sequencer // Day 4 // #2WeeksWithPush @lilmissbeats | Uploaded July 2017 | Updated October 2024, 17 hours ago.
Day 4 of #2WeeksWithPush! Today we will look at Ableton Push 1's Step Sequencer in more detail. What it is, how it works, how to change the grid settings and use it to create or even edit your written or recorded beats or melodies.
You will also lean how to change the duration of the notes you put into your step sequencer so that you can freely 'paint' your music into the step sequencer.
I also mention the 3 note modes in a drum rack view, the 2 note modes in a melodic pad view and how to move between tracks with the left and right arrows which is how I change between drum pad view and melodic pad view - I have two separate tracks that I am moving between :)
At the end of this series we will jam out a freestyle, improvised song together with all we've learned over these 14 days - I expect you to be able to do it without me too :)
If you’re new here - every day there will be a new video, so if this is for you make sure you don't miss it and hit that notification bell.
