I cut together wintery scenes from some of my favorite anime and made an anime music video (AMV) for the piano version of Step by Step.
This was such a fun process, because it was essentially like scoring an anime, but in reverse!
It helps to tell a bit more of the narrative of the song, which involves our heroine on a mysterious winter night on the tundra. She realizes her friend is still out there, and goes looking for her. Along the way, she encounters moments of strife and conflict, but also of peace and mysticism. After a struggle to save her friend, things end on a note of mystery.
