Hi There!
Welcome back. In this video I'll share the gel prints I made after cutting the stencils from our previous video. Then for those of you who do not have a cutting machine, I'll show you how you can make a repeating pattern stencil with some recycled copy paper or graph paper and a couple of punches you may already own.
For those of you who do have a cutting machine, I'm using a Cricut Maker with Cricut Design Space. I will show what it's like to take a more complicated stencil design off your cutting mat and share some "things to know" when making stencils using the "unite" tool and talk about scale and proportion. Then we'll head over to the computer where I'll take you step by step to create a more complicated design using two basic shapes along with the "subtract" and "unite" tools. We'll also learn how to add a frame around our stencil for type of stencil.

If you're also using the Samsill Craft Plastic and a Cricut Maker, I wanted to share the material settings I came up with after lots of trial and error. I have the cut pressure set at 325, number of passes set at 3X with a fine point blade. I found that with these settings and then click on "more" pressure when you choose your material makes a perfectly cut stencil. In this video I'll show you once again how to add your own custom material.
