[Synth/Electronic/New Wave/Synth Pop/Score/OST] Here is the heavily sought after humming version to Berlins mega hit: Take My Breath Away that was prominently featured in the love scene to 1986s Top Gun. In 2024, La-La Land Records finally released Harold Faltermeyers complete Top Gun score to the public, however one of the biggest omissions from the album was the humming film version to Take My Breath Away. The good news is that Faltermeyers instrumental cue to the humming version was included in the release (titled Love Scene) which made it very possible to reconstruct the track with all the missing hums and powerful chorus sections. The person responsible for this reconstruction is a YouTuber named (TurdmanJones59) and he carefully extracted all of Terri Nunns official hums from the love scene and rebuilt the entire track to match EXACTLY to what is heard within the movie. However, he did miss ONE noticeable hum at min (3:25) that I successfully managed to source and include/add (which makes this video the CLOSEST THING that you will probably ever get to the official one heard within the film). Top Gun is a 1986 American action drama film directed by Tony Scott and stars Tom Cruise as Lieutenant Pete Maverick Mitchell, a young naval aviator and Anthony Edwards as his wingman Nick Goose Bradshaw. Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer and Tom Skerritt also appear in supporting roles. Despite its initial mixed critical reaction, the film was a huge commercial hit, grossing $357 million globally against a production budget of $15 million and was the highest-grossing domestic film of 1986. A sequel, Top Gun: Maverick (in which Cruise and Kilmer reprised their roles) was released 36 years later on May 27th 2022, and surpassed the original film both critically and commercially. Harold Faltermeyer is best known for composing the Axel F theme for the feature film: Beverly Hills Cop and is considered one of the greatest synth score composers of the 1980s. Berlin is an American new wave/synth-pop band from Los Angeles that consisted of singer Terri Nunn, bass guitarist and vocalist John Crawford, keyboardist David Diamond, guitarist Ric Olsen, keyboardist Matt Reid, and drummer Rob Brill. The band gained commercial success in the 1980s with singles including: The Metro, No More Words and the chart-topping Take My Breath Away co-written and produced by Giorgio Moroder, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. Overall, it is great to finally share with you guys the iconic Take My Breath Away humming version that fans of the movie have been searching and waiting nearly 40 years to listen to in its entirety. This OST soundtrack score is unreleased and has no distribution label 86.

[EuroPop/Synth Pop/Electronic/Pop/Disco/Dance/AOR] Here is Bonnie Bianco with her second major album titled: Just Me. At first i wasnt very fond of this album, but after i listened to it in its entirety i have truly grown to loving it. This album did fairly OK in Europe but went completely unnoticed here in the United States and that is a shame because if you really give it a chance you will see that Just Me is perhaps Biancos best album. Bonnie Bianco was born Lory Lynn Bianco on August 19th, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bianco started her career at the tender age of 10 performing in musicals, fairs, convalescent homes, hospitals, conventions, and beauty pageants. She was managed by Sam Gino and her mother Helen Bianco. Bianco sang solo and duet with her sister Holly and the two of them recorded their first single, Give Me A Minute in 1975. Later at 16, Bianco received her first professional break with Hal White and Mark Gibbons, who released a single on RCA records titled: Teenager In Love. At eighteen Bianco was discovered in a talent search by two producers from Italy, Guido and Maurizio De Angelis. The De Angeles brothers signed her and became her record label Kangaroo Records/Polygram. They changed her name to Bonnie Bianco (a name that she wasnt so fond of using). She is best known as the leading role of Cindy in the Italian film Cinderella 80 (also known as Cinderella 87 or Cindy), a modernized adaptation of the fairy tale Cinderella. Bianco starred along side with french actor Pierre Cosso, known from his movie La Boum 2 with Sophie Marceau. Bianco also recorded the soundtrack for this TV series and the film gave her further success as an actress in Italy. From here you will see why she really wasnt very known in the United States and that is something that Bianco tried to change after this album was released. After this albums release, Bianco and her producer Christian De Walden had different views for her career so they finally mutually agreed to break away from each other. Bianco ended her contract with Metronome in 1987 after a battle of seven months and signed a new deal with the German record company WEA (Warner-Elektra-Atlantic, belonging to Warner Bros records) in 1988. They produced a new album, True Love, Lory, as they mutually agreed to gradually fade away from the name Bonnie. The record company stated that she had become famous by the name Bonnie Bianco and people would not know who Lory Bianco was. The album failed to continue the Top 10 success of the two previous albums (like this one) and failed to reach the German Top 40. Through the years, she released several more albums and singles and now resides in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I consider this album a failure because it was only marketed heavily overseas, even though it was well received in Italy and had some major hits like The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter (Track 5) and Miss You So (Track 1), i just feel that if they promoted this album more globally than i think Biancos career would have skyrocketed higher than expected ...but all in all, the album is a must listen to as it is clearly her best work. This album was released under Metronome Records 87.

[AOR/Synth Rock/Melodic Rock/Pop Rock/Rock/Glam Rock] Here is keyboardist, songwriter, producer, lawyer and singer Mark Avsec aka Cellarful Of Noise with his debut 1985 solo album titled: Cellarful Of Noise. An amazing AOR Synth Rock album that has unfortunately faded away into obscurity. A real shame that this album didnt take off so well because Avsec truly delivers every song with such energy and power. I personally think that this album deserved so much better than what it got because I absolutely love each track on it, especially Heartwrecker (Track 7), Youll Never Break My Heart Again (Track 5), and Cant Put A Leash On Love (Track 10). Each track has this Miami Vice Michael Mann type sound to it, as it feels like something that I would suspect Sonny Crockett (Don Johnson) to be jamming out to, lol. All of these tracks were of course super trendy at the time and that is what is so surprising with the development of this album. For those that dont know, Mark Avsec was a pretty well known musician back in the day as he was one of the members in the widely popular bands: Wild Cherry ( Play That Funky Music ) and Donnie Iris & The Cruisers ( Ah! Leah! ). Not only that but he himself also co-wrote and produced a lot of the bands music too. In 1984, Avsec had spare time to begin working in his home studio in Twinsburg, Ohio on 40 to 50 demos which he began recording in winter of that same year (10 of which are these songs found on this album). Originally, these songs were to be recorded for Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. However, after being offered a solo album deal with CBS Records, Avsec selected ten of his demo recordings for a solo project under the moniker Cellarful of Noise with Cruisers former drummer Kevin Valentine also aiding with the production. The album was released on vinyl and cassette only in America via CBS Associated Records; And on vinyl in the Netherlands via Epic Records. Still to this day this album has not been released on CD, and has remained out-of-print since its original release. According to Avsec, this album was just a little hobby and the name Cellarful Of Noise partially was inspired by his recording studio (where these songs originated as demos) in his basement labeled: The Cellar. In a 1988 interview with AOR Basement, Avsec revealed how this 1985 album came to be released by CBS: I had some spare time and I was really just experimenting in my basement with an eight-track and some midi-equipment. My manager, Mike Belkin, shopped the tapes and CBS put it out, virtually as it was - although it was really just me messing around. Right after it came out, though, I wanted to get more serious about it and make a better sounding record. After this albums release, Avsec went on to release a second Cellarful Of Noise album in 1988 titled: Magnificent Obsession but also noted that Donnie Iris and the Cruisers was still his main focus, and wanted to continue to release new albums solely within the band. Overall, this album is a great window into the musical talents of Mark Avsec whom (in my opinion) is the man that truly defined the ultimate success of Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. This album was released under CBS Associated Records and Epic Records 85.

[Synth Pop/Funk/Soul/Pop/Dance/R&B] Here is Debbie Johnson with her first album released in 1988 titled: Just Like Magic. Great album that deserves better recognition. Debbie is a canadian singer whom was born in Trinidad but moved to Toronto as a child with her musical family. She and her siblings formed Sweet Ecstasy and had a minor disco hit in Canada with Pull Our Love Together. Then she hooked up with singer /producer / former Stampeder Rich Dodson in the mid-1980s. She released the ballad Mama Said Why (Track 6) in 1986 on Dodsons tiny Marigold label. The single got a lot of local buzz in Canada and she received a Juno award nod. This led to the release two years later of this awesome LP album which was also on Marigold Records. But the buzz soon died down and Debbie appeared to leave the scene after releasing two more albums. It is rumored that she continued behind the scenes as an engineer and producer, but there is no solid proof that it is the same Debbie Johnson. This album was released under Marigold Records 88.

This video contains all the score material used for the climax scene when Tony Montana (Al Pacino) equips himself with a Colt AR-15 and tries to defend his mansion against a full-scale assault by Bolivian drug kingpin Alejandro Sosas men. This track was also featured in the scene when Tony Montana says his iconic line: Say Hello to My Little Friend. For almost 40 years this track has remained unreleased to the public until it was finally released on La-La Land Records and Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection limited edition album titled: Scarface: Expanded Motion Picture Soundtrack. To create the sounds of the Finale (Mansion Shoot Out) track, Moroder used the Roland Jupiter-8 and the Yamaha CS-80 synthesizers. Overall, I am really happy that this track is FINALLY released to the public because it is one of the best Moroder compositions that capture the mood and tension in that iconic scene. This song / track was released under La-La Land Records & Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection 83 (22).
