FLAU and raum proudly announces first album of Montreal based Stefan Jós by Devon Hansen aka Lotide (Astro Dynamics:), D.Hansen (Where To Now?). Primitives is the spacious and bugged-out sequel to his last ep Things You Left Behind. Careful restraint remains, but the sober crispiness of the EP is subsumed on Primitives by loose and moody rhythms, wood and metal, weird noises in wet caves and other goodies for ground-dwellers and mole people alike. The album mastered by Miles Whittaker (Demdike Stare), mastercut by Andreras [Lupo] Lubich.

モントリオールから次世代エクスペリメンタル・ディープ・ハウスの新鋭が登場です。 ポストSeefeel/Lukid的なダウンビートで注目を浴びたLotideや、ミュージック・コンクレート作品で知られるD.Hansenなど、様々な名義でポスト音響／ビートシーンの注目レーベルより傑作を連発してきたDevon Hansenによる新たなプロジェクト Stefan Jós。地下テクノ注目レーベルOpal TapesからのAustin CesearとのスプリットEPや、FLAUのサブレーベルraumからの12”「Things You Left Behind」も好評の中、待望のファーストアルバム『Primitives』が完成しました。 ソリッドに鳴らされる重心の低いキックに、細やかな音響処理が施された具体音がパーカッシヴに絡み、アルバムタイトル通りのプリミティブなグルーヴの快楽に包まれる先鋭的なミニマル・ミュージック。高度な音響理論に基づき幾何学的に変化する豊穣な音のテクスチャーは、ベッドルームからフロアーまで全方位に対応する新世代サウンド。
マスタリングをDemdike Stare、Milie & Andreaなどで活躍するMiles Whittakerが担当し、Farben〜Moritz von Oswald Trio、Ricardo Villalobosにも通じるサウンドの美学を先鋭的な音響彫刻で封じ込めた陶酔のミニマル・ミュージックに仕上がっています。
