The story of Collierville is deeply tied to the tracks. Before the trains, our town was a modest stagecoach relay station, and before that, Chickasaw hunting grounds. But with the arrival of the Memphis and Charleston Railroad in the 1850s, the iron horse changed everything. This original documentary explores how locomotive transportation transformed our community, sparking an era of rapid agricultural commerce, placing the town at the center of intense Civil War conflict, and forging the vital connections that paved the way for modern growth.
Produced and beautifully brought to life by Five & Dime Studios, the film takes viewers on a visual journey through the town's past using historical archives, local voices, and engaging storytelling.
