Valve recently announced their new Steam Machine coming to market in early 2026. The new Steam Machine is Valve's second attempt at making a console form factor PC for the living room. The Steam Machine will provide all the benefits of PC gaming with the convenience of console gaming. It’s essentially a compact living-room gaming PC (a console-style box) running SteamOS 3. Designed as part of a broader Valve hardware initiative — alongside the Steam Frame (VR headset) and a new Steam Controller — all launching in early 2026.
Valve claims it’s over six times more powerful than the Steam Deck, targeting 4K 60 fps gaming (via upscaling like FSR) and even ray tracing.
