A video overview of a photographic charter in Poland organised by Trevor Jones of ‘Steam Breaks’ back in October 2002. The event, SB49, was titled ‘Goodbye to Polish Steam freight’ and ran over five days from October 9th to 13th 2002. The basic itinerary and locomotive used are as follows:
Day 1: Rzepin to Wolsztyn via Zbaszyn . Loco 4-6-2 Pm36-2 ‘Piekna Helena’
Day 2: Wolsztyn to Powodowa Cement Works. Loco 2-10-0 Ty45-379
Day 3: Wolsztyn to Konotop Loco 2-10-0 Ty3-2. Wolsztyn to Grodzisk. Loco 2-10-0 Ty45-379
Day 4: Wolsztyn to Wloszakowie. Loco Ty45-379. Wolsztyn to Zbaszyneck. 2-10-0 Ty45-379 and 2-8-0 Ty5-65
Day 5: Wolsztyn to Gorzow WLKP via Zbaszyneck. Loco 2-6-2 Ol49-23
Daytime and night scenes of locomotives being serviced for duty were filmed at Wolsztyn Loco Depot. Also shown are a couple of local steam hauled trains that were operating scheduled passenger services to Leszno and Poznan. Locos 2-6-2 Ol49-23 and Ol49-69.
