Valve has officially raised the price of the Steam Deck OLED — and the increases are massive. The 512GB model jumped from $549 to $789, and the 1TB model went from $649 all the way up to $949. That's up to a $300 increase overnight. In this video I break down exactly what happened, why Valve made this move, and whether the Steam Deck is still worth buying at these new prices.
Valve's statement: "Steam Deck itself hasn't changed; these new prices reflect the current state of component costs and other global logistical challenges across the industry as a whole."
Both OLED models are currently back in stock. Certified refurbished models including the older LCD version are still available at lower price points starting at $319.
