Day 3 of my epic 4-day Michigan road trip takes me to the charming small town of Richmond, Michigan, where I discover an incredible mom-and-pop restaurant that just happens to share my name—Ken's Country Kitchen! This adventure combines stealth camping, local food reviews, small-town exploration, and hidden gems that most travelers drive right past.
After finding a perfect stealth camping location, I head into town to enjoy a massive beer-battered fish and chips dinner at Ken's Country Kitchen. The portions are huge, the prices are affordable, and the homemade food delivers that classic small-town diner experience everyone loves. The next morning, I return for breakfast and try one of the best breakfast skillets I've had in a long time.
Along the way, I explore Richmond's beautiful downtown, historic buildings, parks, and quiet neighborhoods while sharing what makes this Michigan town so special. I also visit local coffee shops, enjoy a delicious latte at Overflow Cafe, and spend the night in my camper van watching a movie before another day of adventure.
