With all the great food that comes along with the holiday season, many people struggle to maintain the good body composition that they worked so hard for all year. Personally, I love indulging in all the great seasonal foods, but there is no doubt that they can cause some major unwanted fat gain. However, by eating 1 meal a day, I'm able to generate a comfortable but significant deficit that can help me offset some of the fat gain from higher calorie meals. To be clear, this is just my approach to managing overall energy intake. It is NOT the only approach. Whether or not it works for you depends on your comfort with fasting, your psychology, your preferences, etc. This is just one approach to managing overall energy intake, but for me it has worked incredibly well.
