finally broke my art block, here's Daeme, Xankin and Atticus' mom, and some minor spoilers.
Xadrys (father in the picture at the beginning) left his family with no warning to become a mercenary, only to then go missing in action with no sign as to what happened to him. a couple years later, Daeme finds her oldest son Xankin to have gone missing, with a bloodied noose in his room. stricken with grief and in a vulnerable state, she is brought to the church of corruption by Gatsby (the blue lynx), a loyal member of the church who follows ghost (evil looking goat man) without question. when ghost finds out Daeme is Xankin's mother however, and sees she's still looking for her son, ghost has her killed in order to not trace Xankin's disappearance to the church's involvement. leaving behind young Atticus without the rest of his family.
