This is the Hilton Queenstown, where our one-night stay would’ve cost over $325, but we paid zero thanks to 60,000 Hilton Honors points — or just 30,000 transferable points thanks to the 1:2 transfer ratio. Not a record-breaking redemption, but absolutely worth it in my opinion. The room was stunning, with a massive living area and a patio overlooking Lake Wakatipu, and it was the perfect jumping-off point to start our two-week road trip through New Zealand. There were several nice restaurants to choose from, plus, thanks to our Hilton Gold status, we got complimentary breakfast and a room upgrade.
