Throughout October, CFA brigades across the state will open their doors to help their communities prepare for fire.

We headed to Sassafras-Ferny Creek Fire Brigade on Tuesday to launch the campaign, hearing from former Marysville captain Glen Fiske and Sassafras-Ferny Creek Lieutenant John Schauble, who shared their lived experience of a major fire in their community.
