This is a short summary video of ch 2 of Earth Science Bob Jones University
Matter is made of tiny, constantly moving particles whose spacing and speed are determined by temperature. Adding thermal energy speeds these particles up, changing rigid solids into flowing liquids and then into free-floating gases. At extremely high temperatures, particles collide so violently that they break apart to form an electrically charged state called plasma.
