Near the holidays in the mid-90s Attorney General Dan Lungren issued a statement towards the gaming industry to "stop the violence". Dan Lungren recommeded games like Mortal Kombat to be taken off of store shelves as he felt they desensitized children thinking in order to solve problems is to use violence.
