Do you want to understand how startups are valued and how investors make decisions?

As part of FLAME Summer School 2026, Prof. Jaslene Bawa, Faculty of Finance, introduces the course 'Startup Valuation and Investor Perspective.' This course explores how early-stage and new-age companies are valued, covering concepts such as pre-money and post-money valuation, discounted cash flow (DCF), and several other important concepts.

Through examples of contemporary companies and practical frameworks, you can learn how to build valuation models, apply top-down and bottom-up approaches, and assess investment decisions, including IPO opportunities. The course also introduces relative valuation in contexts where listed peers may not exist, helping students understand how valuation evolves across a startup’s growth journey.
