Starting over does not mean starting from scratch.
In this Week Two Apple A Day relaunch video, we begin with Spring — the season of planting seeds, beginning again, clarifying what matters, cultivating hope, and creating room for new growth.
Spring is often treated like a clean slate, but most real beginnings are not clean. They come with history, grief, fatigue, old skills, hard-earned wisdom, and the life you have already lived.
You are not starting from zero.
You are starting from here.
And here is not nothing.
In this video, I talk about beginning again after heart failure, the transferable skills I carried from radio into psychotherapy and writing, why core values matter when you’re standing at a crossroads, and how Spring and Winter can overlap when you’re beginning again while still grieving or releasing something old.
I also share how I use daily tools — writing, walking Kismet, music, movement, fresh air, and reflection — to manage waiting, uncertainty, grief bursts, and the ordinary emotional work of staying grounded.
Apple A Day Spring is the Plant the Seeds season. It gives you about ninety daily reflections with companion journal pages — one Apple a day — to help you clarify your values, refresh your thinking, create healthier habits, and begin planting what still matters.
