Community Events are temporary game modes that Jagex will be running as a way to safely test out new content, allow players to experience new types of gameplay, and collect feedback for fixes and improvements. This first community event is called Gridmaster, based on the bingo system planned to be implemented into the main game.
There's a 7x7 board of tiles, and every tile you complete unlocks buffs for your Gridmaster account, as well as points that can be spent on tradeable cosmetics in the main game. All players start as fresh ironman accounts, but progression is fast paced with xp multipliers, drop rate multipliers, powerful relics, and much more!
