Starting my Academic Planner this week!

We just got back from vacation last Sunday and I am sure all parents can relate but vacation with 2 little boys is far from relaxing haha but we had lots of fun and the kids were super happy.

Now it’s time to actually sit down and plan out next school year for Stirling! He will be an official kindergarten kid! How time flies. While we have done lots of homeschooling activities and lessons in the past, this upcoming school year I would like to create a bit more structure for myself and be more prepared in advance.

This upcoming homeschool year, we will be combining different curriculums so it will be a bit challenging to get everything organized. Stirling already loves doing lessons but I want to add even more fun and creative projects and more frequent field trips to go along with the materials we cover.

Currently I am using an N2 horizontal format as my homeschooling planner and record keeper but I think vertical will work much better for what I want to do.

Although we homeschool year long right now, I think it would still be more helpful to be in an academic planner because that’s how most curriculums were designed and it would be easier to distinguish the grade levels as he grows up.

Fellow homeschool families, have you started planning out the next year? Are you switching things up or using the same curriculum?
