Maker badge is perfect to practice soldering or start soldering. It's also a cool way to show everyone around you that you are a maker. Imagine that you are going to a maker fair or school contest, you can put this badge on your table/desk/whatever and be proud of yourself. There are almost 100 LEDs (96 to be precise) that are arranged in a text that says "I MAKE STUFF". It can be powered with 5V for example by a smartphone charger, power supply or batteries. No programming required, most of the parts are super easy to solder and there is a lot of soldering so that you can practice a lot.
