With ISG activated, it is impossible to make it through K. Rool's intro cutscene without triggering a fadeout. The cutscene takes at least 88 seconds to finish, whereas the longest gap between Intro Story fadeouts is only 71 seconds.
If you go back to K. Rool after Intro Story, you will be in round 2 (still DK's phase). Selecting quit game on the pause menu or leaving the arena will reset the fight to round 1.
