Visible behind this stream of gas is a barred spiral galaxy with a white center, blue middle section, and pink on the outer edges of the circle. Behind both objects is a black sky littered with white specks of stars.
00:33-00:37: The camera pans left and zooms in to the 3D interacting galaxies ARP 142. In the center right section of the image is a shrimp-liked gas structure. The head is near the top of the screen facing the left. The head is a white color cloud-like structure while the body fades to an orange/pink/blue color. To the left of the shrimp structure is a small white circle with pink and blue hues as it fades out.
00:37-00:41: The camera pans left and up into the 3D L1527 Dark Cloud Protostar. It showcases an hourglass-like shape full of gas and dust. The top of the hourglass is a red/orange color, whereas the bottom is a pink/yellow/blue color. It sits on a background of black and a dusting of white stars.
00:41-00:45: The camera zooms into 3D supernova Cassiopeia A. An orange/pink/white gas outline of a circle covers most of the screen in the center. Small, white stars scatter the photo across a black background.

![NASAs James Webb Space Telescope #UnfoldTheUniverse Art Challenge
NASA’s biggest and most powerful space telescope ever is launching soon! The James Webb Space Telescope, or Webb, will travel a million miles away to reveal the universe as never seen before. It will look at the first stars and galaxies, study distant planets around other stars, solve mysteries in our solar system and discover what we can’t even imagine. Its revolutionary technology will be able to look back in time at 13.5 billion years of our cosmic history.

![NASAs Webb Probes an Extreme Starburst Galaxy
A team of astronomers has used NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to survey the starburst galaxy Messier 82 (M82).
Located 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major, this galaxy is relatively compact in size but hosts a frenzy of star formation activity. For comparison, M82 is sprouting new stars 10 times faster than the Milky Way galaxy.
Using Webb to Inspect the activity in galaxies like these can deepen astronomers’ understanding of the early universe by getting a closer look at the physical conditions that foster the formation of new stars.

![Webb Captures Jupiter’s Aurora
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has captured a spectacular light show on Jupiter — an enormous display of auroras unlike anything seen on Earth.
These infrared observations reveal unexpected activity in Jupiter’s atmosphere, challenging what scientists thought they knew about the planet’s magnetic field and particle interactions.
Combined with ultraviolet data from Hubble, the results have raised surprising new questions about Jupiter’s extreme environment.
