What a surprisingly fresh take on a classic trope.
I went into this with not very high expectations either, but I was happily surprised by what I read.
Nice visuals, a story that moves at a quick pace but hits some nice emotional notes, wrapped up in a solid package from Dark Horse.
Nice book all around!
