I always figured that if Stargate: Extinction had actually been released, the late Joel Goldsmith would have made a cinematic version of the Atlantis theme as a counterpart to David Arnold's Stargate theme used for the SG1 films. Since that never happened, I figured I'd take Goldsmith's approach to creating the SG1 theme and combine different tracks from Rising.
