Here's the complete broadcast of a syndicated re-run of an episode of Starcade - which encapsulated some of the arcade video game craze of the early 1980's; in this example as aired over WTNH Channel 8 in New Haven / Hartford, CT.

Billing itself as "the first arcade videogame show" and taped in San Francisco, the show (sometimes billed as Starcade!) was hosted by Geoff Edwards (of such other gameshows as Jackpot, The New Treasure Hunt and Shoot for the Stars). This gig would have a profound effect on him, as he would become a video game aficionado for the remainder of his life (he died in 2014).

The contestants here in this episode are Randy Byrd, 13, of Edwards Middle School in Conyers, GA, 30 miles SE of Atlanta (in 8th grade), and his mother Anne Wolski ; and Noe Reyes, 19, who attends University of California at Davis and majors in zoology and has interests in animals and science (not just video games), and his uncle Marco Torres, 25, graduate of San Francisco State and MBA; the Grand Prize for this episode was a .

The games highlighted in this edition are Change Lanes, Marvin's Maze, Elevator Action, Major Havoc, and Snake Pit, with the Grand Prize being the Super Zaxxon Video Arcade Game.

According to another online source, this episode was S04E19 (Episode 108) and was originally broadcast Friday, January 20th 1984. (not verified)

Show voiceovers by Kevin McMahan.
