Season 1 Episode 20
Episode: "Heart of Glory"
The Enterprise identifies a disturbance, which appears to indicate that a battle has taken place in the local sector. Upon their arrival at the source, an old heavily damaged Talarian freighter is found with inconclusive lifesigns aboard; Commander Riker takes an away team over to investigate the vessel and confirm the possibility of survivors. After a brief search it turns out that there are survivors aboard; a trio of Klingons, one of them in a critical condition. Worf is assigned to see to the Klingon visitors needs for the duration of their stay aboard the Enterprise when it quickly becomes apparent that they have no love for the Federation/Klingon alliance, have outspoken opinions regarding the state of Klingon politics, their culture; they also have grand aspirations and a desire to pursue a destiny to the point of being a genuine threat.
We learn a little about these two Klingons, Korris and Konmel and what it is that motivates them. We also learn a little bit about how Worf came to be the only Klingon in Starfleet.
