In this technical edit with collaborator Lord Edmund Bryll, we revisit Star Trek: The Next Generation through the lens of act breaks. It wasn't clear what might emerge, but we learned a few things pretty quickly: the music does some Olympic level lifting, the big story beats land with reckless efficiency, and it’s surreal to watch the crew endure wild amounts of trauma only to laugh it off at the last break. We get it. It’s a serialized show. But still, the whiplash is real.
