A review/critique/analysis/retrospective of Dramatic Labs' Star Trek: Resurgence, a Telltale-style "choose your own adventure" story game in which you play as Jara Rydek and Carter Diaz, two Starfleet officers aboard the USS Resolute tasked with negotiating a peaceful resolution to a dispute between two non-federation races when a weird ion storm suddenly threatens the safety of everyone in the region. This game may be relatively light on actual gameplay, but the story is extremely compelling and it's one of the most faithful video game adaptations of the Star Trek license ever by making you feel like you're actually taking part in an interactive episode of the 90's era of TV shows. I would guess that you don't even have to be a fan of Star Trek to enjoy Resurgence, but of course if you are then you'll really appreciate all the lore and references. I thoroughly enjoyed Resurgence from beginning to end and would easily recommend it to anyone interested in a fun sci-fi adventure story.
