After the events around the moon of Rezencheer the ship was in need of repairs, and we have spent a week at Narendra Station. I have given the crew a bit of shore leave, and they have been enjoying the hospitality of the station. Since we got out here a number of local civilizations have set up embassies and with them have come new merchants, restaurants, and bars. Combined with Klingon, Federation, Orion, and Ferengi merchants, these newcomers have made the station an interesting mix of diverse cultures, although it has also caused tension sometimes when people with very different expectations for how one is to behave mix. Still it has overall been a positive experience, and I for one am quite enjoying an Akaru (ah-KAY-roo) beverage that tastes a bit like a peach and rum drink.
The Kongzi's repairs finished early this morning, and we are now running final diagnostics before she is declared ready to fly once again.
