![Skeletal Family 1984 Recollect [Mini LP]
12 Mini-Album released in 1984 under Red Rhino Records by legendary english Post-Punk/Goth band Skeletal Family fronted by Anne-Marie Hurst.
Tracklist:
00:00 Waiting Here
03:52 The Wind Blows
08:07 Lies
11:43 She Cries Alone
17:01 The Night
20:35 Eternal
Recollect is a concise but essential Mini-Album from Skeletal Family, capturing the band’s early Gothic Rock identity at its most raw and atmospheric. Acting partly as a bridge between singles and their debut Burning Oil, the EP gathers some of their strongest pre-album material, blending icy guitars, driving post-punk rhythms, and Anne-Marie Hurst’s striking, expressive vocals. Tracks like “She Cries Alone” and “The Night” highlight the band’s ability to balance melodic urgency with a darker, more brooding mood. While not as cohesive as a Full-Length statement, Recollect works as a compelling snapshot of a formative period for one of the UK’s key early goth acts.
Lineup:
Anne-Marie: vocals
Stan: guitars
Trotwood: bass
Martin: drums
All tracks recorded and mixed at Ric-Rac, Leeds
Lies (original demo) recorded 12-09-82.
Waiting Here / The Night (different versions) recorded 16-05-83.
She Cries Alone (7 Version) / Wind Blows / Eternal recorded 29-12-83
Words and music by Skeletal Family.

43:00 Runout Groove [Hidden Track]
This is the first Positive Punk/Goth/Darkwave studio album to be released in Japan.
Produced by Auto-Mod frontman Genet together with the band, the album was quite elaborate for an Indie recording at the time, making it a very rewarding listen.
This is really a buried masterpiece.
Of course, you can hear the influence of Bauhaus and other british bands of the time, it should be ranked alongside Christian Deaths early works Only Theatre Of Pain and Deathwish. The band often played with Hardcore Punk bands such as Gauze at the time, and had a strong Punk-Rock flavour, other than Christian Death, other bands from Orange County, California, from the same era, for example, T.S.O.L. and Social Distortions respective first Full-Lengths.
This album also shows the connection with Dance With Me and Mommys Little Monster, the first Full-Length of T.S.O.L. and Social Distortion respectively.
Lineup:
Zin-François-Angeliqué: vocals
Rei: guitars
Fque Dann: bass
Cezarre For...: drums, backing vocals
Other credits:
Emmy: performer (other Instruments)
Hironori Hoki: engineering
Produced by Genet & Madame Edwarda.
