Star Explorers is a random galaxy generator. It allows the player to explore, map and document all the various stars, planets and other celestial objects.

Star Explorers is not finished. This represents the current state of the game. Currently it has a range of randomly generated star types, including white, red and brown dwarf stars, red giants, neutron stars and more. Planets are also randomly generated. Their temperature and conditions are based on atmosphere type, distance from their star, temperature of their star and more.
Certain planets that exist within the habitable zones of stars will have conditions suitable for life. Caves are also generated randomly on some worlds.
Alien life exists in two main forms right now. Animal-like aliens are randomly pieced together from different body parts. This allows unique aliens to be formed each time the game is played and new planets are explored. Bipedal aliens are intelligent, and can either be friendly or hostile towards the player, depending on different factors, including the player's behavior. They will fight if attacked, but can also trade or provide randomly generated quests.
Once all the features are working and stable, I plan to add more variety to the game, creating more types of stars, planets and life-forms to study and interact with. I also plan to introduce better graphics and effects as I learn more about the medium. As a game programmer and artist, Star Explorers has been an ongoing project and individual effort for the last few years.
