Cloud Imperium Games have announced that, for at least the next 12 months, Star Citizen's development will focus on bug fixes, stability, and quality of life improvements over new features.

Coming fresh on the heels of the Server Meshing release and 4.0.1, Chris Roberts and the team have decided to improves the state of teh game and gameplay for existing and new backers alike.

But what does this mean for resource networks and engineering gameplay? And why does the community reaction look set to go bad, no matter what?
